Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Printing Estimator/Planner Manager to join our dynamic team in the printing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Print Estimating and Planning, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates and job tickets. This role is vital in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

 

As the Estimator/Planner Manager, you'll take the lead in managing the entire project lifecycle for both lithographic and digital printing projects. From analyzing specifications to overseeing production, you'll collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to drive innovation, secure favorable pricing, and ensure smooth project execution. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills will be essential to thrive in this fast-paced, growing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for printing projects based on project specifications and related documents.
  • Create job tickets from specifications and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Account Managers to gather project information for accurate pricing.
  • Utilize estimating software such as Program Solutions (PSI), FileMaker, and Print IQ to manage estimates and job tickets effectively.
  • Negotiate pricing with merchants, vendors, and logistics providers to secure cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintain organized project records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in printing estimating and planning, with in-depth knowledge of the printing process.
  • Proven leadership and managerial experience
  • Proficiency in using estimating software and MIS systems
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project specifications.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and work independently when needed.
