Job Description
Our client is a premier full-service label company seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to lead and optimize all major value streams and support functions within their manufacturing operations. In this role, you will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and ensuring customer satisfaction through on-time shipments and superior product quality. You will oversee all aspects of operations, including flexo/digital print, finishing operations, customer service, logistics, planning, scheduling, quality, and continuous improvement. In addition, drive the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, on-time delivery, and profitability.
The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of related experience in pressure sensitive label manufacturing, or 10+ years of equivalent education and work experience. Proven track record in implementing and driving lean manufacturing principles with lean certification preferred. Solid understanding of production, planning, scheduling, logistics, and quality control processes. BS degree in industrial engineering, business or related field preferred.

Prior to joining WBP Chicago NW, Susan worked for an MRI executive search firm specializing in the Electrical industry. In her role, she was successful in filling positions in both Electrical Distribution and Manufacturing. Her focus was placing Sales, Operations, Senior Management and Pricing/Purchasing managers.
Susan also worked for another large, international business where she recruited for positions in several vertical markets. She moved into a Senior Staffing Partner role for the corporate office and continued recruiting for positions in Sales, Operations and Engineering for the automation, Fire/Life Safety and Security business sector.
