Our client is searching for an Assistant Director of Student Enrollment


Under the supervision and guidance of the Director of Enrollment Management, the Assistant Director of Student Enrollment will implement an effective contact strategy for students within their assigned program portfolio and to progressively move prospective students through the enrollment process. The Assistant Director’s enrollment strategy will include, but is not limited to significant call & email conversations, new student follow-ups, and virtual meetings designed to attract adult undergraduate and graduate students in line with the Colleges and Campus Deans’ priorities. Additional responsibilities include group and individual counseling and advising students regarding the admission process, conducting presentations, and developing and maintaining relationships with other university offices. The Assistant Director of Student Enrollment manages prospective student portfolio throughout the entire enrollment life cycle in alignment with accountabilities, conversion benchmarks, and team enrollment goals. The Assistant Director role has no supervisory responsibilities, but will be accountable for coordinating and managing specific constituent relationships or projects in addition to other duties as assigned. A successful candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to successfully work independently, and who actively contributes to the office welfare in a high volume, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Student Enrollment:

Implement an effective goal driven enrollment strategy designed to enroll talented, diverse and academically qualified students for desired degree program(s). Develop and execute various contact strategies that include group and individual counseling of students, webinars and/or events for students, conversion/yield campaigns, student interviews & meetings, training forums among other activities. Student contact, follow-up, and enrollment process conversion to meet and exceed goals is an expected accountability.

Counsel and Advise Prospects and Applicants, Transfer and New students, and other Constituents:

Communicate accurate information and effectively counsel all prospects, applicants, transfer and new students, and other constituents in a timely, professional and positive manner during all enrollment activities including, onsite visits, information sessions, meetings, written correspondence email and phone calls. Fully participates in all training and professional development opportunities.

Coordinating and managing a specific College Program /Campus constituent relationship or project(s):

Works closely with an assigned constituent group to communicate enrollment-related information. Serves as an advocate of the College/Campus constituency in the admissions process. Effectively manages any assigned project(s) including setting goals in consultation with his/her supervisor, developing and managing timelines, achieving desired results and producing a final report on the assigned task.

Management of Systems and Knowledge Base:

Maintain accurate and timely record keeping of all interaction with students in university CRM and application systems in order to produce accurate reporting. Provide feedback on any issues/interests that may arise during applicant & prospective student contact in efforts to provide continued improvement of the student experience. Work closely with manager in order to collect, analyze and present data that will inform new programs and services that meet market demands. Accountable for staying current with all programs within assigned programs in order to be able to properly assist applicant & prospective students with the enrollment cycle.

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree is required. Master’s degree preferred. Two to four years of experience in student enrollment, non-traditional college admissions and/or sales. Any experience in counseling, call campaigns, and small and large group presentations also preferred. This position will require a flexible work schedule, including some nights and weekends, and travel will be minimal, but may be required periodically. Proven ability to work independently, excellent communication and presentation skills, sensitive and responsive to the needs of diverse constituencies and managing goals.
