Vice President of Academics, Innovations, and Special Projects

Primary responsibilities:

  • Preparing all policies, guidelines, and procedures pertaining to research projects conducted, supported, or solicited by the agency
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive and ongoing program for research or dealing with all aspects of international student education, travel activities, programs, services, experiences and other relevant international education topics
  • Developing, cultivating, selecting, and supervising all authorized research or special projects conducted by agency academic, administrative, or general interest researches, independent contractors, higher education administrators or practitioners, students, or others with whom the agency shares mutual and beneficial interests
  • Developing and extended term project for the selection and affiliation of academic practitioners who will become agency “Fellows” for the rendering of academic, research, scholarly, and consulting services to benefit member institutions and the agency
  • Collaborating with the Director of Communications and other colleagues for the publication and distribution of research results and other related topics of interest to international students, academics, institutions, associations, and families in various formats through carried media
  • Developing awards, recognitions, press releases, and public announcements for outstanding research, innovations, special projects and services designed to enhance and make significant contributions to international education
  • Researching issues, problems, and ideas that offer opportunities for innovative and enhanced approaches to international education
  • Investigating, researching, and seeking special projects and activities that will enhance the reputation of the agency, assist in the expansion of knowledge, and provide service to international students, institutions, and education practices
  • Developing and implementing on an ongoing basis the annual and quarterly operational plans and related activity/achievement reports for the Membership Section
  • Assisting in Mission establishment, planning, implementation, modification, and performance assessment
  • Engaging in continuous professional development activities associated with the Mission of the agency and the section
  • Engaging in such additional or related activities as may be assigned by the administration/board of the agency.
