Take charge of program management for a 100-year market leader
THE COMPANY - Our Milwaukee, WI based client is privately held and has a 100-year history. They are a $150 million manufacturer of high end, premium grade commercial and residential cooling, cooking, dispensing and stainless storage equipment for both indoor and outdoor application. Customers include restaurants, bars, sports stadiums, and high-end homeowners. They have a 300,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Milwaukee, a 180,000 sq. ft. facility in Mexico and a design center in California. The company uses an Epicor ERP system and a SolidWorks CAD platform. They market globally and are the industry leader. Products are sold through a network of residential distributors and commercial manufacturers reps and dealers. In 2017 they were designated as “Best in Class” by a prominent, nationally recognized food service equipment magazine for the 14th year in a row! The award is based on surveys of dealers, customers and design firms. The culture is very open and supportive. Senior leaders work to create a workplace that people like to join and come to. Strategic thinking is long-term and because the company is privately held the management group has support to stay the course on projects. There will be a number of retirements over the next 5 years which offers the prospect of personal growth for people at all levels. Growth has been robust for the past 5 years which will drive need for people at managerial levels to take on additional responsibility.
THE OPPORTUNITY – As Director of Program Management for our client you will drive program management processes, project execution and key strategic initiatives. This is a highly visible position that will interact daily with executive management. You will be the center pole for communication between sales, engineering and operations on new product development, project approval, project execution and project tracking to completion. You will have reach across all business units to ensure projects are started and completed on time and on budget. Specific responsibilities will include leading high-level cost reduction projects; developing a stage gate product development and production process; setting project priorities based on financial impact; participating in setting strategy with base plan, most likely and best-case scenarios. You will be involved with products from the design stage through installation and support. You will provide support for both the Wisconsin and Mexico operations.

- Four-year degree in operations, business or related field
