 Opportunity for a Human Resource professional interested in assisting a third- generation company reach the next level through employee engagement, organizational development, employee retention strategies, succession planning and leadership development.

 THE COMPANY    This third generation, sales and customer service driven company was founded nearly 65 years ago and continues to grow and expand. They are a distributor of premium grade packaging supplies, food service products, safety supplies, janitorial products as well as equipment supporting all of these product areas. The company generates $60 million in annual gross sales through 165 employees. They are strategically driven to reach $85 million over the next 5 years. This will be achieved through geographic expansion, adding new product lines and continued acquisitions. They serve over 2,000 healthcare, food processing,  hospitality, industrial, commercial, governmental, institutional and agricultural customers in Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. Distribution is handled through three Wisconsin based locations. This a turn-key company that works with customers to assess needs, decide on solutions, install selected equipment, train customer employees and maintain equipment for them. They provide vendor managed inventory services, business sustainability systems and 24/7 emergency service. The company makes it easy and efficient for customers to reorder through an online system using company supplied “Reorder Pads” and end-to-end data integration through EDI. The customer base includes a “who’s who” list of highly recognizable, national brand companies.  They employee 33 sales representatives, 14 service technicians and maintain a fleet of 23 delivery vehicles. There is a high number of long-term, tenured employees providing a deep knowledge base, a major strength. They operate two shifts at their Milwaukee based distribution center.  THE OPPORTUNITY     As our clients Director of Human Resources you will be responsible for employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, employee development, organizational development, compensation analysis and administration, employee training, performance management, benefits administration, payroll and AA/EEO compliance. You will be a member of the senior leadership team reporting to the President and CEO. As such, you will have a seat at the table as it regards strategic planning for workforce development, organizational development, succession planning, compensation structure, process improvement and employee benefits. You will play a lead role in fostering an inclusive, engaged, servant leader culture focused on employee development, recognition and retention. An administrative assistant reports to the position.


  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development or business
  • PHR certification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a strategic HR role reporting to a CEO or President
