Key sales management role with a major manufacturer of stainless tank trailers

THE OPPORTUNITY – As our client’s Director of Sales & Marketing you will be responsible for supervision of four field sales representatives, two inside sales employees (customer service and quotations) and all marketing initiatives through outside agency support. Marketing responsibilities include the company website, trade show coordination, marketing collateral and advertising. The company sells through 250 US and Canadian dealers as well as direct to large fleet customers. The company has six sales regions, two of which will be filled after you arrive. They use Hubspot to assist with the sales process and track results by region. You be a member of the companies four-person Product Development Committee comprised of the President, Director of Engineering and Director of Operations. A key initiative will be to take the lead in development of an automated quotation process and development of a seamless product export and brokerage process for Canadian shipments. You will report to the company president.

  • Two years Sales Management experience overseeing a B2B field selling force
  • Strong coaching and teaching skills
  • Comfort level with both strategic and tactical issues
  • Has sold highly engineered mobile equipment through a dealer network
  • Comfortable negotiating price and terms
  • Willing to travel 35%
