Our client builds automated packaging systems and equipment for mail order, specialty pharmacies and direct-to-the-consumer distribution centers.  They use both proprietary equipment and field-proven automation provided by their key equipment, material and integration partners to provide a one-stop solution for their clients’ automated packaging needs. In this dynamic role, you will lead and guide the operational activities of a facility that designs, assembles, installs and supports automated packaging equipment and systems for direct-to-the-consumer distribution centers and mail order, central fill and specialty pharmacies/retail stores.

 

 

 

Key Objectives:

 

  • Manage the overall direction of the packaging and automation division.
  • Participate in planning for growth and coordinate the development and implementation of the strategic plan for the Packaging and Automation Division
  • Oversee technical, business process and compliance excellence.
  • Direct the development and implementation of organizational procedures and controls to ensure their  adequate execution, compliance, and updates.
  • Advises and assists in developing organizational objectives, and plans for their achievement.
  • Maintain a culture that is customer focused and streamline businesses processes to meet customer needs.
  • Ensure that staff monitor the condition and performance of critical systems that research, development and automation operations are dependent upon.
  • Hire staff and retain contractors as required.
  • Manage staff, prepare staff schedules, monitor workload/overtime, vacation requests, new employee recruitment process, completes performance evaluations, recommends employee development, approves requests for time off, and handles all other management staffing issues.
  • Provide leadership demonstrating values of integrity. Promote employee engagement and development.
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with many internal and external parties.
  • Manage the department budget and expenditures to third parties.

 

Essential Requirements:

 

  • 8+ years of packaging and automation leadership experience required. 
  • Highly effective leader, manager, team builder and coach.
  • Lean training and experience is desired
  • Bachelor’s degree required
